Bibliography
Welcome to Karole McDowell’s Bibliography
This page is an invitation to explore, not a path to follow. Each book may be read independently, while still belonging to a broader universe shaped by echoes and enduring resonances.
There is no “wrong” place to begin—only different points of entry into the narrative. Each work offers a singular experience, unfolding in its own time.
Let curiosity lead you. The rest will follow.
The works of Karole McDowell form a constellation of standalone novels and interconnected narrative cycles, linked not by strict chronology but by shared themes, underlying resonances, and emotional continuity.
Each novel may be read independently. Some, however, belong to broader architectures in which worlds answer one another and deepen across multiple narratives.
Novels and Narrative Cycles
Les Chroniques des Deamon Venatores
Dark Fantasy Cycle
A series of novels exploring ancient forces, invisible inheritances, and figures confronted with realities that extend beyond the ordinary world.
Les Chroniques des Daemon Venatores form an evolving cycle in which events, places, and presences move across the narratives, leaving lasting traces.
Each novel within this cycle can be read separately, yet gains depth when approached as part of the whole.

L’Étreinte des Destins
Dark Fantasy — Trilogy
At the crossroads of fantasy and memory, L’Étreinte des Destins explores the persistence of the past, bonds that span centuries, and the consequences of irreversible choices.
As the first movement of a trilogy, this cycle unfolds across an extended timeline in which lives respond to one another from one era to the next, never fully closing.
Status:
— Trilogy in progress
Recommended chronological reading.
Independent Novels
Some of Karole McDowell’s works are conceived as standalone novels, exploring more intimate themes or singular variations of fantasy and horror.
These books require no prior knowledge of a broader universe and may serve as an ideal introduction to her writing.
(Titles will be added or expanded as the catalogue evolves.)
Reading Approach
The worlds developed by Karole McDowell are not governed by rigid chronology, but by a logic of resonance.
Readers are free to begin with whichever novel calls to them, then discover—through successive readings—the echoes, recurring motifs, and invisible connections that weave these narratives together.
No reading order is imposed.
Each story maintains its own internal coherence.
In Development
New projects continue to enrich these worlds, further exploring themes of memory, loss, strangeness, and fractures within reality.
Existing cycles evolve over time, while new standalone narratives gradually take shape.
